Before I begin on the larger painting in earnest, I am completing a large 40" x 50" full color study to figure out the colors and values in paint, here is the smaller painting in progress, its kind of a cool picture because It shows the different stages from transfer to ebouche to first pass. The first thing I have gleaned from the large study is that I need more tree studies for the landscape, making them up is not quite cutting it.
